Afrobeats: Spyro reveals N15M allocation on Beggars, yearly
Spyro, the Afrobeats Star Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, revealed that he allocates more than N15 million each year to support beggars. The "Who's Your Guy" Crooner disclosed this during a discussion on the relentless pressure he experiences to help his fans. He shared his annoyance at how people ask for his support online and in person, yet seldom offer anything in return.
Although he is always generous, Spyro remembered a bitter experience when a stranger reprimanded him because he couldn't spare money at that moment.
Spyro shared on Instagram, "Being a celebrity in Lagos is really tough. I told a guy I didn’t have anything and would meet him the next day. He bombarded me with insults. Every time I step out, I spend at least N100k on gifts. Let’s break it down: if I go out three times a week, that’s N300k weekly, which adds up to N1.2m monthly, and approximately N15 million a year.
