Davido Addresses Debt Controversy Between Ubi Franklin, Spyro

Nigerian music star David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has addressed Controversy made by his colleague Spyro, who claimed that Davido’s associate, Ubi Franklin, used his name to deceive him.

In a recent interview, Spyro alleged that Franklin misled him into performing at a birthday party in Ghana, claiming it was at Davido’s request. He further stated that Franklin failed to pay him the agreed $5,000 fee for the performance.

In response, Ubi Franklin denied the accusation, asserting that he withheld the payment because Spyro owed him money. Franklin alleged that Spyro was supposed to pay him a 10% commission for facilitating his recent car purchase and retained the $5,000 as part of the outstanding amount, claiming the singer still owed him ?2 million.

The exchange of accusations sparked mixed reactions, with Davido’s name drawn into the controversy. Reacting to the situation, Davido offered an apology for the misuse of his name.

Reposting a video of Ubi Franklin’s response on his Instagram story, Davido wrote, “Pls, I’m sorry.”
