This announcement was made in a statement on Saturday, signed by Bawa Mokwa, the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation.
Mokwa indicated that disbursements to NASU members have already started, with several individuals confirming they have received their payments.
“The Federal Government has released funds to pay the withheld salaries of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Federal Universities,” the statement read.
“Additionally, funds have been allocated for benefits for retirees under the Nigerian Union of Pensioners' Contributory Pension Scheme. The Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation confirmed that payments to the Non-Academic Staff of Federal Universities have begun, with many already confirming receipt.”
