VDM, who previously faced backlash for advocating DNA testing after singer Mohbad’s death, quickly supported Don Jazzy’s perspective. In the wake of Mohbad’s passing, VDM had suggested that the late singer’s widow, Omowunmi Aloba, undergo DNA testing to help clarify questions surrounding her husband's untimely death, which led to considerable criticism online.
In his recent remarks, VDM questioned the common belief that trust alone should suffice in relationships, arguing instead that DNA testing is essential in today’s world. He wrote:
“From the desk of Don Jazzy (Don Baba J) ... During the time of Mohbad’s wife, when I was emphasizing the importance of DNA in families, people were against me. Now even celebrities are saying the same thing. Don’t just rely on 'love and trust.' Be wise.”
