Olamide, the Afrobeats hitmaker, has achieved an impressive milestone, breaking the 1 billion career streams mark on Spotify. He is the first African rapper to attain this achievement, showcasing his flawless fusion of Afrobeats in his music and his fruitful partnerships.
What's more, Olamide made history last year as the first African rapper to earn a Grammy nomination. His collaboration with Asake, "Amapiano," was nominated in the inaugural Best African Music Performance category but was ultimately defeated by Tyla's "Water."
