"Ibrahim Chatta's the Reason I'm Still in Nollywood" - Apa explains

Sanusi Izihaq, or Apa as he's known professionally, has explained his continued presence in the Nigerian film industry, Nollywood. He shared the disclosure during a conversation about the challenges he's overcome in the movie industry, having transitioned from a career as a Continuity Manager.

In an interview with Biola Bayo on her 'Talk to B' podcast, Apa recounted his struggles and thanked Ibrahim Chatta for his support, saying the actor prevented him from abandoning his acting career.

"Ibrahim Chatta deserves a massive shout-out. If not for him, I'd have left Nollywood long ago. I'll never forget when a director, who knew me only by reputation, threatened me. I was actually excited to work with him."

"Things became heated, and the toxic atmosphere was too much to handle, causing me to break down in tears."

"he saw me crying multiple times, and after I explained my desire to leave the industry, he consistently provided guidance and support."

According to him, he's attempted to leave filmmaking three times, but each time Ibrahim Chatta intervened by inviting him to work on his productions.
